What we need

Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering practical, end-to-end employee relations support across a large and fast-paced operational environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring employee relation practices align with industrial requirements

  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts, ensuring appropriate outcomes are met

About you

  • Proven experience within Employee Relations, Industrial Relations or as a Generalist HR Advisor
  • Working knowledge of Fair Work legislation and Australian employment law, modern awards and related legislation
  • Experience dealing with industrial bodies and unions;
  • The ability to manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Confident managing complex casework and influencing stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills;
  • Proven ability to identify risk and use sound judgement for issue resolution
  • High level of discretion and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive personal and legal matters

What you bring to the role

  • Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or Dispute Resolution or other relevant qualification or experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Human Resources generalist position or other relevant experience
  • Current driver's license
  • NDIS Endorsed WWVP Registration
  • Experience in an Aged Care, Community Service or Not-for-profit sector desirable
